I wouldn’t consider myself to be one of those people who just has to have the most recent device, but I do enjoy getting a new phone. I was a huge Blackberry defender for many years, and given that I only really used my phone for work, it was easy to be one. Until a couple of years ago, Blackberry devices were capable and durable tools in the corporate world. I bragged about them regularly, that is until the touch screen devices came out. The early versions were garbage, and unfortunately, so were the later ones. Eventually work gave me a choice of a touchscreen Blackberry or an iPhone, and back to iOS we go.
My personal phone has been an Android for a number of years now. I’ve never regretted it — I love the OS and especially the amount of control I have over it — and they just keep getting better and better.
I bought a Galaxy Note 3 today, and I can’t wait to explore it and learn how to use it to its full potential. I love the idea of note-taking and the large display is perfect for anything I need to do, even displacing the tablet I read news on at night when I’m laying in bed.
I’ll give it some time to settle, learn to use it, and then be back with a review.
