In April, our Boston Terrier, Clancy, passed away. I’d had him for about 10 years and the loss was a very trying time for us. Much of his odd behaviors and weird personality was the center of our lives. We decided recently to foster Boston Terriers who were up for adoption by the Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee.
Not long afterward, a pair of Bostons showed up at our door. They were bonded together and so they couldn’t be separated. We weren’t entirely sure we were up to the task of having two of them in our home. Their names were Tyson and Roxy, he is between five and seven years old and she is around two years old. We immediately changed their names to Jackson and Olive.
Having two dogs was as much fun as we had feared. It’s pretty much nonstop excitement around here when they aren’t snoozing. We’re glad that they can entertain themselves (and us) much of the time. They need some training, but for the most part they’re very well-behaved.
We decided last week to adopt them. We were glad to open our home to them when they were in need; we’re even more happy that they’ll be staying.
